The NEW awareness course for safe cutting and welding on mine and petroleum sites, formerly known as MDG25 Safe Cutting & Welding in Mines Awareness Training.
Our new course has been developed with reference to the Technical Reference Guide: Hot work (cutting and welding) at mines and petroleum sites (June 2021) produced by NSW Resources Regulator.
Course Content
Our non-accredited course combines an innovative learning style with real-life practical experience to maximise learning outcomes. With our extensive knowledge and experience in hot work, the one-day course provides you with everything you need to know about Safe Cutting and Welding at Mines and Petroleum Sites.
All aspects of Hot Work covered:
– Safe Use and Handling of Oxygen Fuel Equipment
– Safe Cylinder Storage, Transport and Handling
– Electric Welding Safety
– Power Tool Safety – Grinder Awareness
Update now includes:
– Thermal Lancing
– Hot Work in Working at Height
– Hot Work in Confined Spaces
– Underground Mines
Course Outcomes
Successful participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance.
Course Duration
Course duration is 1 day (approx 8 hours total) – 7:30am-3:30pm.
Course Venue: Newcastle, NSW
Training is conducted at the 3D Safety Training Centre in Cameron Park or training can be conducted on-site at the premises of industry clients providing there have suitable infrastructure and training facilities.
