COURSE CONTENT

This training module is a solely practical based session addressing various welding techniques and processes whilst utilising current work practices that your employees undertake at present.

- Oxy/Fuel Cutting, Welding & Gouging Techniques

- MMAW (Manual Metal Arc Welding) Techniques

- TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) Welding Techniques

- MIG (Metal Inert Gas) Welding Techniques

 

PRACTICAL

- Practical demonstration of various welding techniques

- Practice time to ensure techniques reach an acceptable level

- Dispelling common myths and unsafe work practices

- Demonstrating the functional characteristics of the equipment and their operating capacity

 

OBJECTIVES

- To identify the level of competence of each person to remove complacency and apathy and concern in relation to the inherent risks associated with the equipment

- To achieve an awareness and respect for the use of such equipment

- To complete welding processes in the safest manner possible 

- To improve the ability of the participants and improve their effectiveness in the workplace

- To identify faulty equipment

- To select the correct consumable for the process required

- To identify the correct machine settings and problem solving solutions
